I’m not sure if it is possible to load the thumbstrip with this method. I will check with Torstein (the Highslide developer). I'll get back to you as soon as I get an answer.
Our support has moved

Here’s a sample with text links for opening the galleries:

Both samples are thumbstrip galleries, but you will probably need to replace the Highslide settings with your own settings.
