Releasing an API with highslide

Postby beh » Sat Feb 21, 2009 11:09 pm

Hi

We are planning to release an API for our commercial site to be used in other sites. We would like to use highslide as part of that API to open iframes from our domain. Highslide code will be hosted on our site too. Two questions:

1) Can we include highslide in our API? It will be dynamically loaded in our JS code from our domain. We can include in the agreemnt to use the API that they cannot use the highslide for any purpose if they are commercial sites.

2) If we can use highslide, which license should we use? The API is always served from one domain to other sites and they cannot use it for any other purpose.

3) How can we purchase the license?

We appreciate your prompt response and thanks for your great work.

Best,
Nima

Hi Nima,

1) Yes, you can include Highslide in your API. For commercial users you'll need a commercial license.

2) Even though the JS is loaded from a single domain, it will appear on multiple websites, so you need to get the Unlimited license.

3) Use the "Buy now" button on the http://www.highslide.com website. You will be given a license key that is used to identify you and your customers as authorized Highslide users.
