phpBB Gallery MOD using Highslide JS

Postby nickvergessen » Wed Apr 08, 2009 9:56 am

I think the Question is very similar to viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3533
My MOD package is downloadable for free and released under GNU.
So I guess when I implement Higshlide JS, I need to put the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 2.5 into it as well?
Second question: I can't put the Redistribution to the download page, as it is a fixed layout ( http://code.bantux.org/projects/list_fi ... bb-gallery ) That's why I would put a little notice into my Release-post. Is this good enough?

Cheers and keep it up nickv

You can inform that your own work is under a GNU license, but contains the Highslide element which is CC.

It is good enough if people actually read it. You should make sure your users understand that Highslide is only free for non-commercial use.

Okay, so here is a screen of my installation instructions:

and of my release post:

If this is okay for you, I would really appreciate that.
Nevertheless the phpbb-Team wants to do some checkings on the license-thing aswell and we will see, whether they do allow that aswell.
If not so, I need to put a install-highslide JS instructions instead of embounding it be default.

I am very happy with this. I'll add your mod to the Implementations listing at the home page as well.
