Questions on licencing of the software

Highslide JS for a photography website

Postby fabuchan » Mon Mar 22, 2010 10:27 pm

Hello Torstein and all,

I am currently planning to use Highslide JS for my photography portfolio website.

I have a question about licencing. The site will be to showcase my portfolio. The only thing that made me think about licencing is the following sentence I am planning to have in the 'contact me' page:

"If you would like to have more information about my work or wish to purchase limited edition prints of any of my images you can contact me at: <e-mail> "

There will be no direct sales through the website.

Would I need to purchase a licence?

Thank you and keep up the excellent work.

Hi Fabrizio,

Whether there is direct sale on the website is not a criterion for determining if a site is commercial. If the site is a front for your photography business, it is regarded commercial.

Hello Torstein.

Thank you for clarifying. As soon as I complete the evalutation I will be purchasing the licence.
