Always center Datalabels in Column Chart

Postby Mahjong15 on Fri Jul 30, 2010 4:32 am

Hello,
we're using datalabels on our column chart to show the actual number represented by the column. We want the datalabel to show centered inside the top end of each column.

With datalabel positioning we kind of got it where we want it to be, but the offset is still an issue because if we have numbers that have two digits (e.g. 59) and four digits (e.g. 1050) in the same chart then we can't have both centered, one of them will be bound to be strangely positioned.

Is there a better way of doing this, to always have the datalabel centered regardless of number of digits? Or maybe you have a workaround?

Thanks!
Mahjong

Hi Mahjong,

I feel little confused of what is exactly problematic, because I tried it here: http://jsfiddle.net/m2NWe/ and it just works the way you've told :)
Please, show me the the situation on this jsFiddle if I'm missing something.
